    American Funds Investments for the Society of Michigan EMS Instructor - Coordinators. Year End 12/31/08.

    The New Economy Fund-A                 Shares = 257.851    $ Value =  4,014.74

    Washington Mutual Investors Fund-A  Shares = 805.915    $ Value = 17,254.64 

    The Income Fund of America-A          Shares = 563.486    $ Value =  7,376.03

                                                                                      Total $ Value = 28,645.41

    Would the SMEMSIC Membership like to see a detailed financial report regarding our American Funds Investments?

    Hello Jon,  is this a report that I could post in the members only documents area or a report you would want to give at the general membership meeting.  I look forward to seeing you at the conference.

    The finance committee had a meeting in Flint during December 2009 and an additional meeting this morning in Zeeland.  With the recent change in the treasurer position, we have been implementing new accounting software for SMEMSIC.  The committee has been working on setting up expense and income categories to better track budget trends.  We have also been working on new budget categories and preparing the 2010 budget for the organization.  I will keep you informed about future meetings and activities of the committee.
